Who would win in a fight? Former lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov? Or former double divisional champion Georges St-Pierre. ‘GSP’ and Nurmagomedov were fighters that could have been cut from the same cloth. Unfortunately for the fans, the debate could never be settled.
Nurmagomedov retired amidst rumors of a match-up with St-Pierre and no one got the chance to see the two fearsome fighters go at it against each other to prove once and for all to determine who’s the best. However, ‘GSP’ has reasons to believe he would have won.

“I think I would have beat him because if he would have come to put pressure on me, I would have put him down. I would have had the confidence to try to go for it.” He said. “… I think that I would have maybe been the first guy that he fought or one of the only guys that would have tried to put him down, and I’ve put down everybody that I’ve fought,” said GSP.

Now, both the fighters in the conversation are retired and that means it is yet another super fight that we’ll likely never get to see unless Dana White pulls out a rabbit from the hat like never before. ‘GSP’ and his time in the Octagon is over but he won’t brag about his victories.
Saint-Pierre is one of the most modest fighters in the sport and in the podcast, he admitted that things keep moving forward and that perhaps the greatest fighter wasn’t even born just yet. So, who are the greatest fighters for him then? Here’s his list.

Who would you consider the greatest fighters in the sport? Jon Jones is certainly one name that frequents most lists of the greatest of all time. And Georges Saint-Pierre’s list was no different. He named ‘Bones’ as one of the fighters that he could consider the GOAT of MMA.
However, Jones wasn’t the only one for him. He also named BJJ pioneer, Royce Gracie as his personal favorite fighter who inspired him to develop his own style going into MMA. And of course, finally, the third person to make his list was none other than ‘Mighty Mouse‘.
