“If He Slips Then People Say the Whole Gym Is Terrible”- Conor McGregor’s Coach Replies to Michael Bisping’s Criticism

Currently, Conor McGregor is recovering after injuring his leg and suffering consecutive losses against the same fighter back-to-back in the same year. After coming from an almost 12-month absence from the fighting scene, he faced Dustin Poirier. Both the fighters previously locked horns at UFC 178, which worked in Conor’s favor.
However, the two fights after that were clearly in Dustin’s ballpark. During the first rematch, ‘Notorious’ suffered his first-ever knockout loss in his pro MMA career. With the score settled, the fighters clashed again in July for the main event show at UFC 264.
This fight ended brutally for McGregor with a nasty injury in his leg. The former double division champ is in recovery mode since that fight. He also seems to have gained weight during this time off. Additionally, amongst all these ups and downs, Conor McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh has been with him.

However, English sports analyst, commentator, and retired mixed martial artist Michael Bisping seems to have a different opinion. He went on BT Sport and suggested that John should get fired immediately.
Following this criticism, the Irish Coach gave his reaction in an exclusive interview with the mirror. He said, “I would take criticism from anybody. That’s very important. Wouldn’t say I was hurt, I wasn’t going, ‘Oh no Bisping said something’, that’s his opinion and everybody is welcome to their opinion.”
He also shared, “So look, things are looking up and to Bisping I’d say ‘thanks very much for the constructive criticism’, keep it coming and we’ll keep trying to improve”
