In its early years, the UFC was a fledgling promotion struggling for survival. At that time, it was restricted to rec centers in tier-three cities. This, of course, is in stark contrast to the present iteration of the UFC. Today, the UFC holds events in the most marquis venues in the world.
These include iconic venues such as Madison Square Garden in New York, the O2 Arena in London, and the Etihad Stadium in the UAE. And, it seems, Dana White and the UFC are looking to broaden their horizons and have their eye on another iconic venue.
