Freestyle NCAA wrestler Jaydin Eierman has opted to seek a career in MMA. Many NCAA wrestlers opted for a career in MMA, such as Ben Askren and Daniel Cormier. They have seen immense success. Eierman, too, is looking forward to fulfilling his dream of representing the USA at the Olympics.

Jaydin Eierman is a 4-time NCAA All-American who competes in the 141 lb (or 65 kgs) category. He represents the Iowa Hawkeyes team, which is known for having the grittiest of wrestlers in the country. They are also known for their intense physicality. If Eierman decides to join the MMA game, he’ll be the first Hawkeye wrestler to do so.

Nicknamed ‘The Riddler’, Eierman has fought some biggest names in the fight scene. He has always been an admirer of MMA. UFC’s Walker Van Wey once interviewed him. “I was always around Tyron Woodley, Michael Chandler, and Ben Askren. I was around those guys, so I know their mentality going into the next level.” Said ‘The Riddler’

Talking about his father, Eierman said that his dad was the one who introduced him to MMA. “My dad was fighting towards the end of his career. I was always around that and trained with him. Striking and Jiu-jitsu were some of the things.”

He further talked about how his father taught him important lessons to keep in mind during a bout, “He’d always tell me I can’t be scared to get tapped out, so we’d go and I’d get tapped out, and then now I have no fear of being choked out. It was good for me to experience that growing up,”

Eierman aims to be a big draw in MMA

Jaydin Eierman has all the tools to be an exciting fighter. He told Walker Van Wey that he does not want to be an ordinary fighter. Eierman said, “I want to give people what they paid for. That’s how my wrestling has always been, going for that finish, trying to get a pin. Going into MMA I just want that finish.”

The NCAA wrestler claimed to have a weird fighting style, which hasn’t been much. He further said, “I feel like I’ll be like Khabib, though, where I’m going to take you down and make you pay, or my pace is going to take over from Iowa and wear you out.” Eierman is not only aiming to put up better cardio with opponent fighters but also wants to dominate them in fights.

Jaydin Eierman is just 26 years old and aiming to compete in the Olympics before he indulges in the world of mixed martial arts. Also, his primary focus is currently on wrestling.
