Conor McGregor is inarguably one of the biggest names in MMA history. ‘Notorious’ has had great success throughout his MMA career and is one of the highest-earning celebrities in the world. Recently, though, the fighter has not been in the greatest of forms and has lost his last 2 UFC fights.
Since ‘Notorious’ got his second consecutive loss against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 and broke his leg in the process. People from all around the world have been talking about what is next for McGregor and whether he can still compete at top-level MMA.
Recently UFC lightweight fighter Beneil Dariush was asked about the same. During an interview with The Daily Wire, they asked Dariush about whether he thinks McGregor has something left in him. Dariush said, “Let’s be honest, at 145, he was capable of possibly being the best featherweight you have ever seen.”

“At 155, he hasn’t really put out the same numbers. And obviously, it’s the weight gain, but I think the 155 is just so deep, there are so many guys. You know, people jump into the division. They are supposed to be a big deal and then, in a year or two, they disappear.”
“It’s very common you saw a lot of guys come and disappear in the UFC, that were supposed to be the next big thing. 55 Division is scary. It might not be Conor’s fault, it might just be that the division is really deep.”
Will Conor McGregor return to the UFC for one more match?
As of now, ‘Notorious’ is medically suspended and cannot compete until 2022. Therefore, many fans have been speculating whether the fighter will return to the UFC or will retire. McGregor, however, has himself claimed that he will look to return to action and face Dustin Poirier in a 4th fight.
