Conor McGregor is the biggest name in MMA, and one of the biggest names in the sports world. In fact, he is so popular that EA Sports added his celebratory ‘Billi Strut’ to their latest FIFA game. Top footballers like Sergio Ramos have mimicked McGregor’s ‘Billi Strut’ on the pitch, proving his influence outside the MMA sphere.

In a recent controversy, yet another celebrity drew comparisons with the Irishman. According to an expert, glam poker star Robbi Jade Lew, currently involved in a cheating scanal, exhibited behavior similar to McGregor.
How Robbi Jade Lew pulled a ‘Conor McGregor’ during poker
Glam poker star Robbi Jade Lew is currently at the center of a cheating scandal. She stands accused of resorting to foul play during her clash with Garret Adelstein. In an article on the subject, a body language expert compares her behavior during the game to that of UFC’s Conor McGregor.

Body language expert Darrent Stanton, who is often touted as TV’s ‘lie detector’, compared Lew’s behavior to that of McGregor:
“She is clearly a strong, extroverted person. At the time Garrett Adelstein begins to call her out, she demonstrates a lot of chin thrusts, similar to UFC star Conor McGregor. It is a sign of intimidation, with the intention to undermine and upset the other person.”
Lew won 269,000 dollars after playing a bold hand which raised quite a few eyebrows. She stands accused of cheating despite returning the money later. Meanwhile, her opponent, Garret Adelstein, thinks she may have used a ‘vibrating device’ to figure out his hand.

Conor McGregor’s gimmicks inside and outside the octagon are famous for their effect on his opponents. Opponents have fallen to his mind games several times in the past. Robbi Jade Lew is only the latest addition to the list of people who have tried to imitate the Irishman’s persona.

McGregor stole his iconic gimmick from Vince McMahon
Most people associate Conor McGregor with the iconic ‘Billi Strut’ these days. However, WWE’s Vince McMahon used to do the walk long before McGregor came along. The iconic strut saw a surge in popularity after McGregor used it in the UFC Octagon, following his title fight win over Eddie Alvarez.

McGregor said that Vince McMahon “must be p*ssed” that he’s getting credited for the iconic walk. He laid claim to the walk, saying that he created it and it belongs to him now. In typical McGregor fashion, he also challenged anyone from the WWE to do something about it.
