Joe Rogan has gained a massive following with his multiple professional stints and his popular podcast. The UFC commentator’s long exposure to combat sports has helped him understand the extent of the human body. Understandably, he shares a fascination with fitness and his “Sober October” challenge stems from this fascination.

The color commentator and his friends participate in this challenge annually. The rules remain simple: they have to abstain from any type of intoxication and burn as many calories as possible. Subsequently, the bunch changes their lifestyle accordingly.

October’22 marks their fourth year of the fairly newly established tradition. In a recent JRE episode, the gang of Ari Shaffir, Tom Segura, and Bert Kreischer reassembled. Along with the host, Joe Rogan, they talked about their personal health improvements.

Joe Rogan’s health updates

In episode #1879, Joe Rogan shared his experience of how the challenge made his face look better. However, the former “Fear Factor” host also disclosed that his obsession with winning the challenge proved troublesome once. Rogan declared that he ended up watching John Wick 50 times while doing an insanely long cardio session.

Further, Bert Kreischer confessed his health issues and how he overcame them. Following this, Tom Segura talked about the importance of sleep in a healthy lifestyle.

Religiously following the trend, the 55-year-old posted an update on his social media handle. He posted a video with the caption, “Day 18 kids! 500 calories a day in a workout and 100 pushups! I feel great!!”

Relying on his update, the podcast host looks content with his efforts and indeed has made major progress.

The “Sober October” has gained traction among the fans. With a similar intention to make it more popular, Joe Rogan started the #soberoctober initiative.
