When you are as big a celebrity as Joe Rogan, your words are under severe scrutiny. Especially with a platform like ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ topping Spotify podcast lists, Rogan caters to a large number of listeners. Some of his recent comments have now landed the UFC commentator under fire from a section of the fans.
American retail corporation Target has been under fire recently since displaying its Pride collection. A large section of people took offense to some products from a collection of over 2000 products. After mounting customer backlash, the retailer pulled some of the merchandise from their shelves, citing employee safety. They also reportedly lost around $10 billion in ten days after the controversy.
Meanwhile, on episode #1991 of JRE titled Protect Our Parks 8, Rogan and his guests discussed the ongoing controversy. The 55-year-old had some strong words about the situation saying that Target had introduced products for children in their Pride collection. He said this was the reason for the backlash and subsequent withdrawal of those products.

However, Rogan was proved wrong seconds after he made the claim. The products he was referring to were meant for adults and Rogan admitted he was wrong. Nevertheless, he went on bashing the brand, calling them “authoritarian” and “constrictive.” The BJJ black belt also blamed them for being money-minded in this whole process.

A clip of the exchange made it to Reddit. The fans did not entertain how Rogan refused to move on from the subject. Many of them took issue with Rogan’s insistence on criticizing Target and his choice of words.
