For those who are completely enamoured with riding, motorcycles are the best thing in the world, while for those who don’t get it, they are a clear-cut vehicle of death. There is no middle ground. And Joe Rogan stands on the latter side of it. In the most recent episode of his podcast, Rogan, along with guest Andrew Santino, discussed motorcycles and the accidents that arise from them. Upon doing so, the UFC commentator recalled the devastating motorcycle accident of the UFC great, Frank Mir, who suffered greatly as a result of this fatality. Mir competed in the UFC from 2001 to 2016. But the accident he met with in 2004 certainly fared badly for him as a fighter. After which, as Rogan stated, he was never the same.
Joe Rogan recalls the accident that rendered Frank Mir out of his prime
In episode #1924 of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’, the UFC commentator discussed how learning about certain prominent people’s motorcycle tragedies deterred him from taking up riding. Rogan stated, “I went for a period of time where I took motorcycle classes and was ready to ride a bike. But then a dude I worked with on Fear Factor, crashed and f*cked up his shoulder. And then, Frank Mir who worked for the UFC, he got hit by a car and broke his leg and took him out of action.”

Frank Mir met with a tragic motorcycle accident right before his marriage, back in 2004. And talking about his deteriorating stage after the accident, the 55-year-old stated, “He was really never the same again. He was like, one of the best one in the world-he was one of the best in the world for a long time even after that. But, that was like in a prime of his life. He got his femur shattered… When you get your femur shattered, it’s touch and go whether or not you lose your leg. And he wasn’t the same guy after that.”
Besides that, earlier in the discussion, the UFC commentator expressed his disgust for a particular class of motorcycles. And interestingly, based on his fairly old tweet, it looks like Joe Rogan has been bothered by that for a lengthy moment.
Rogan feels people with high handlebar motorcycles are ‘f*cking stupid’
Joe Rogan cannot stand motorcycles with high handlebars. It’s a straightout ‘no’ for him. This is something he discussed in the same episode in the very beginning.“Those are stupid. You can’t steer. Why would you drive around in a bike that’s like, very important to get the f*ck out the way of stuff and your arms are up like this *points them overhead*”
And he’s had voiced the same complain almost over a decade ago, too.

If you ride a motorcycle and your handlebars are above your head, there's a very good chance that you're a fucking idiot.

Hence, if you own one of these motorcycles, Rogan hates you already.
