Joe Rogan Says Cain Velasquez Is the Greatest Heavyweight of All Time

UFC commentator Joe Rogan believes that the former heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez is the greatest UFC heavyweight of all time.
When it comes to heavyweight fighters, Velasquez is the name every UFC fan will remember. He had a glorious UFC career. The American-born competed against many notable names in the promotion. However, like every other fighter, Velasquez also had a few setbacks on his resume.
However, despite the setbacks, Rogan claims Velasquez to be the greatest of all time. In the recent episode of Rogan’s podcast, the UFC bantamweight fighter Marlon Vera lauded the former UFC heavyweight.

He said, “Because when Cain was champion, he has done some f*king great fight. I think like this is a new era like the new Cain Velasquez against Junior dos Santos. That motherf*ker can move like a lightweight Ciryl Gane.”
To which the podcast host Rogan responded by claiming Velasquez the greatest ever. He said, “While Cain had the kind of cardio that only exists in lower weight classes. But he has it as a heavyweight.”

“It didn’t even make any sense. His cardio was great. When he was in his prime, here’s a thing about prime when people talk about the greatest of all time. I put Cain in that category.”
Velasquez became the UFC champion by defeating Brock Lesnar. Furthermore, he had a few title defenses under his belt. However, his fight with Junior dos Santos is one of the biggest UFC fights in history.

Velasquez and ‘Cigano’ were two of the most prominent names in the UFC. Their bouts always served as a delightful treat for the UFC fans. Both the heavyweight combatants have crossed paths thrice in their careers.
After dethroning Brock Lesnar, Velasquez faced Santos in his first title defense in 2011. Both the fighters were on an amazing win streak of their UFC career. However, ‘Cigano’ emerged as the winner in the fight by defeating Velasquez via a first-round knockout.

Later, after bouncing back in the win column, Velasquez was set to take on Santos in a title rematch at UFC 155. Both the fighters displayed amazing performances in the cage. However, Velasquez regained his heavyweight title by defeating Santos via a unanimous decision.
