The first look of the championship belt for Power Slap by Dana White is finally out. It is similar to the UFC championship belt, in a way, but comes in a mix of blue and silver. The UFC president spent years conceptualizing the idea for the slap-driven league, and now everything is in place and we even have the league’s official belt. Dana White found the idea of the open-hand striking league to be quite intriguing. So much so that he was compelled to start one of these leagues himself. In addition, the league’s championship belt was just made public, which generated a variety of reactions from the fans.

Reacting to the Power Slap’s championship belt, fans brought in the infamous slap incident from the Oscars, involving Will Smith and Chris Rock.
Power Slap unveils its official title belt:
The official Instagram handle of Power Slap recently made the first look of its championship belt public. And as anticipated as it was, it has generated a number of reactions from the fans. The belt has received mixed responses for its appearance. Many find it attractive, but there is also a section of the audience who were let down by it.

The slap contests have gained tremendous popularity among the masses for their entertaining and unprecedented nature. There have been a number of promotions that conduct these kinds of slap-driven competitions all around the world. And now, the UFC president Dana White is coming up with his own version of it.
Below are some of the funniest fan reactions:
One fan was unimpressed by the belt’s color combination:
“Change the blue for gold make it look like it’s worth something”
Another fan called for Nate Diaz, referring to his slap incident:
“Where is @natediaz209 when you need him?”
“That’s f*****g horrific “
A fan brought Will Smith into the conversation, following his infamous Oscar slap incident:
“Just give it to Will Smith”
Additionally, there was a group of fans who weren’t too fond of the belt:
“This is the dumbest thing in a long time and I’ll be watching every time”
“That sh*t is ugly”
“More than anything this looked like a toy”
Wherein some fans found the belt pretty good:
“Now that’s a bada*s design belt ever!”
“Oi nah that kinda fire tho”
Fans certainly got as creative as they could when reacting to this belt. Power Slap, on the other hand, had a more difficult time getting approved because of its unconventional nature, which raised some serious questions, giving White a difficult time altogether.
Dana White questioned over Power Slap’s safety
The slap-driven league has generated a lot of discussions ever since it was announced because of the unconventional nature of the competition and the worries about the safety of the participants. The Nevada Athletic Commission raised a rather serious question for Dana White to answer, “You will make sure no one dies?”

To which, the UFC’s Chief Business Officer, Hunter Campbell, reassured the commission by stating that they have regarded the participants’ safety as their topmost priority. Campbell stated, “We have a high level of comfort following that, working extensively with the commission, to make sure that we believe that safely.”
The Power Slap is set to make its premiere in early 2023. It will be an eight-episode series that will air on TBS.
