‘Kamaru is Gonna Dominate’- Manager Gives His Prediction for Kamaru Usman vs Jorge Masvidal Rematch

The UFC welterweight division has seen some really dominant fighters in the past few years. It all started with the ascension of Georges St-Pierre to the top. Following in his footsteps, Kamaru Usman stepped in with his wrestling and has completely dominated the division.
He is undefeated in his last 17 fights and has never lost any of his 13 fights in the UFC. He’s now set to defend his welterweight title for the 4th time.
He’ll fight Jorge Masvidal in the main event of UFC 261. His manager Ali Abdelaziz sat down in an interview with MMA Junkie’s John Morgan to talk about that fight and his fighter’s future.

Morgan asked him about Masvidal calling Usman a coward, and Abdelaziz vehemently dismissed that statement. “Kamaru is the farthest thing from a coward.
“He’s a real man, he’s the UFC king, and he’s the street king too. He’s an African boy. They’re not gonna push over,” he said. Interestingly, Masvidal calls himself the street king.
Ali talked about the famous trope that those who speak less tend to be the more dangerous. However, he’s not wrong. Just take GSP for example. He was known for his virtually non-existent trash-talking and still beat anyone and everyone in front of him.
“In a bathroom, in a jail cell, in the street, it doesn’t really matter. Kamaru is gonna dominate whatever it is. He’s just a classy nice guy,” he concluded.
Ali said that Usman would dominate Masvidal again as he dominated him in the first fight. He also brought up Colby Covington and mentioned how Usman dominated that fight as well.

Their first fight wasn’t very entertaining. Usman dominated the contest from start to finish and didn’t let Masvidal control any part of the fight. The American looked good in the first round, but it was all downhill from here.
However, Masvidal had taken the fight on two weeks’ notice and used that as an excuse. This time, he has had sufficient time to train, and hence it would be interesting to see how it turns out.
