The fight game could be cruel and the main event of UFC 278 proved it. After winning the majority of the contest in the main event, Kamaru Usman lost the title by one mistake. The pound-for-pound best UFC fighter and the welterweight champion (coming into the bout) released a statement following his loss to Leon Edwards.

‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ coming into the rematch was ready to establish himself as one of the best fighters in the promotion’s history and not only in the current era. But a beautifully placed head kick from ‘Rocky’ changed it for Usman.
