Khabib Nurmagomedov is a name that needs no introduction in the world of MMA. The former undefeated lightweight champion has a record of 29 wins and 0 losses; making him one of the greatest fighters of all time. His impressive list of accomplishments includes winning the UFC Lightweight Championship. In addition, he won the Combat Sambo World Championship and the Abu Dhabi Combat Club (ADCC) Submission Wrestling World Championship.

It’s worth noting that ‘The Eagle’ is not alone in his lack of support for female fighters. The world of MMA has long been dominated by male fighters. It is due to this that female fighters often face discrimination and unfair treatment. Moreover, as the sport continues to grow and evolve. Thus, it’s considered important for all fighters, male or female, to be given the same treatment with respect and given equal opportunities to succeed.

Surprisingly, someone, as accomplished as him, only has one woman MMA personality whom he follows. But despite his success in the octagon, Nurmagomedov has faced criticism for his lack of support for female MMA fighters.

On his Instagram account, which has over 50 million followers, Nurmagomedov follows over 500 people. However, only one of these accounts belongs to a female fan, who goes by the name “Mini Khabib.”

Back when Khabib spoke about female MMA fighters

As a star athlete with a massive following, the former lightweight champion has the power to make a difference and use his platform to promote gender equality in the sport.
