UFC welterweight Khamzat Chimaev is keen to break through the walls of contention at 170-pounds by any means necessary. ‘Borz’ took to social media recently and called out fellow rising star Sean Brady who competed over the weekend. Undefeated prospect Sean Brady secured the biggest win of his career with a win over Michael Chiesa in the co-main event for UFC Vegas 43.
Chiesa was 4-1 in his last five fights and fans expected him to come back stronger after his submission loss to Vicente Luque. However, Brady made sure Chiesa is now on a losing streak after he secured a somewhat comfortable unanimous decision victory. After seeing his stellar performance, Chimaev expressed a desire to fight Brady at the earliest.

Chimaev is coming off a massive win over Li Jingliang who came in as the first ranked opponent he faced. ‘Borz’ is now associated with number two ranked welterweight Gilbert Burns in what would effectively be a title eliminator. This is a massive opportunity for Chimaev, however, he appears to want to scrap against every welterweight fighter at the moment.
A fight against Sean Brady would certainly be one that would serve as a comprehensive litmus test in the striking department. Brady showcased slick technique and is also extremely adept if the fight enters into grappling range. However, history would indicate that going to the ground with Khamzat Chimaev is a poorly advised decision.
