‘Mr. Vicious’ was not given much of a chance in this bout as he was on a two-fight losing skid, whereas his opponent 9-3 was way more experienced in MMA despite coming off a loss himself.
From the very beginning, Gore surprised his opponent with his approach as he attempted a wrestling-heavy gameplan. Although, Fremd got some good shots when both were on their feet. The contest looked even till it was not.

Gore put Fremd in a unique position that looked nasty but not technical. That said, it was effective as he got the submission win seconds later.

Gore has finally got some momentum after earlier facing troubles inside and outside the Octagon. This win would boost his confidence for his upcoming bouts inside the Octagon as the road would get tougher and tougher for the bright UFC prospect.
