Michael Chandler Warned Over Constant Conor McGregor “Mind Games”
The whole UFC community is eagerly waiting for the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter’s 31st season. The audience will get to see UFC superstar Conor McGregor return to the sport as a coach in TUF. The three-time Bellator lightweight champion, Michael Chandler, will coach against the Irishman. After stepping into the UFC, Chandler was successful in showing his strength by knocking out Tony Ferguson at UFC 274. However, it was least expected by any that the Irishman would come back in the role of coach against Chandler.
However, many agree with the fact that it won’t be an easy journey for Chandler to stay strong against the mind game of McGregor. Recently, UFC color commentator Daniel Cormier warned ‘Iron’ about the same.

Daniel Cormier warns Michael Chandler
During an interview with ESPN MMA, Cormier was asked about who would make a better coach in TUF 31. He didn’t hesitate a bit to answer the question; his answer was Michael Chandler. Nonetheless, it was not a mere guess from DC; he had the perfect explanation for his choice. The UFC commentator said to ESPN MMA “I would probably say in terms of coaching Michael Chandler because he was in the college wrestling world. He was wrestling under a coach. Conor never did those team sports all the way up through college.”

During the further conversation, Cormier also mentioned the danger Chandler is going to face “But I think as important as Michael Chandler can be to the young athletes as a wrestling guy, a coach. I believe that for him it’s more important to understand and try to prepare himself to deal with the Mind Games. He is going to be under constant attack by Conor McGregor”
He further mentioned how dangerous it is for Chandler to spend six weeks against Conor McGregor, prior to their actual fight. Cormier also cites an example for his statement. He stated how McGregor poked Urijah Faber even after not having to fight after the season.
DC reinforced that Chandler should never take the words of the Irishman to his head because that can actually affect his match.
