

The rapidly advancing world of MMA has seen quite a few noted changes in the last few hours. The UFC and Power Slap League boss, Dana White, gave out his take on the highly criticized fighter’s pay amount in PSL. But, a number of fans bashed and derided White’s justification. Further, the USADA awarded the noted UFC Welterweight, Colby ‘Chaos’ Covington, for staying clean. Covington cleared 50 consecutive USADA tests and was felicitated for this achievement. Additionally, the known UFC Lightweight, Damir Ismagulov, realized that he had one more UFC fight left in his contract. He intended to put a hold on his previously declared retirement to return for his last UFC showdown.
Dana White provided a weird justification for the low PSL fighter payments
Dana White’s new venture, Power Slap League, saw the face of criticism right from day one. The startlingly low payments for the PSL athletes were bashed by a lot of people. The former UFC Middleweight, Eric Spicely, revealed that he was offered a mere $2000 to show up and another $2000 if he managed to win the bout in PSL.

Recently, the PSL supremo gave out his take on the criticism of its athlete payments. The noted combat sports coverage personality, ‘Jed I. Goodman’ revealed White’s reply to a fan who condemned the meager athlete payment by PSL. White stated, “[This is] how MMA started too. Boxing undercards make this kind of money still. Educate yourself before you open the YAP.”
However, White’s strange justification was bashed severely by a number of fans.
Colby Covington was rewarded with the prestigious USADA 50 jacket
Colby ‘Chaos’ Covington received recognition for his continuous endeavor at staying free from using USADA-prohibited substances. Covington was presented with a jacket by the USADA authorities as a gift for his achievement.
The UFC also shared Covington’s superb feat on their official Twitter handle. Their caption read, “Congratulations to @ColbyCovMMA for his 50th clean test under the USADA program”.

It’s pertinent to note that Covington had been tested a total of 52 times since the UFC’s partnership with USADA. Fans would want to see ‘Chaos’ inside the Octagon soon again.
Damir Ismagulov eyes a return for his last UFC bout delaying retirement
The noted UFC Lightweight Damir Ismagulov shocked UFC followers this new year with the news of his abrupt retirement. Ismagulov blamed his health and some unavoidable “circumstances” as the factors that “forced” him to an untimely retirement.

But, recently Ismagulov realized that he had one last UFC fight left as per his contract. He also revealed on his Instagram that he will look to avenge his UFC Vegas 66 loss against his former opponent, Arman Tsarukyan.

The caption of Ismagulov’s Instagram post talked about how he had offers from higher-paying fight promotions. But, he still wanted to return to the UFC in order to revamp his legacy as a fighter who left with a win.
