Conor McGregor’s violent reaction startled Tom Aspinall

The UFC Heavyweight, Tom Aspinall, faced a major knee injury during his bout against Curtis Blaydes at UFC Fight Night 208 on 23 July 2022. ‘Mystic Mac’ didn’t take Aspinall‘s words too kindly when he stated that he wasn’t pretty excited about the Irishman’s return to UFC affairs via TUF. McGregor responded with a now-deleted tweet containing a death threat and an intention to destroy one of his sponsorship deals. He wrote, “Bum pr*ck. Say sayonara to that gk deal kid. Starve you and kill you I will you f*cking disrespectful prick. Don’t ever speak my name in disrespect again. Mush potato head.”

But it rather confused Aspinall about why McGregor was so cross at him. Appearing at the noted podcast, ‘The MMA Hour’, the 29-year-old stated, “I honestly don’t know [why McGregor was so angry]. Literally, all I said was, ‘I’m not as interested in Conor’s fight as I was in other fights coming up.’ That was it. No disrespect meant to anybody.”

Merab Dvalishvili was unperturbed by Dana White’s warning

A win at the UFC Vegas 71 had set up the #3 ranked Bantamweight Merab Dvalishvili for a shot at the world title. However, ‘The Machine’ has a strong friendship with the UFC Bantamweight champ, Aljamain Sterling, and didn’t want to fight his friend. But, the UFC boss, Dana White, didn’t take ‘The Machine’s decision too well and warned that there could be consequences for it.

But Dvalishvili showcased no signs of overturning his decision. Appearing on the noted podcast, ‘The MMA Hour’, ‘The Machine’ revealed that it wasn’t the first time that he was hearing such words from the UFC boss. He also stated that his win against the noted Jose Aldo, had also lined him up for a title shot. He had also revealed to a lot that he doesn’t want to fight for the title.

It was at that time when Dvalishvili actually found White talking to his coach. He was of the opinion that ‘The Machine’ should refrain from publicizing these negative decisions.

But the Georgian implied his opinion not to fight Sterling, stating, “I understand business and everything. But Aljamain Sterling is my friend and my brother”. He further revealed that he would be waiting for Sterling to move up a weight class and then he can fight for the title.

Dana White’s Power Slap League season 2 dropped by TBS from their broadcasting list

The UFC supremo, Dana White‘s new venture, the Power Slap League, has garnered a lot of criticism right from day 1. Despite having the noted TV channel TBS broadcasting it, PSL still continued to be the target of a lot of people who didn’t consider it a sport.

However, the PSL supremo, Dana White, had given multiple statements defending the PSL from accusations against it. Still, the 53-year-old’s efforts fell short to gain the broadcasting of TBS for the second season of PSL.
