“More Offensive Sh*t Than Me”- Sean Strickland Sends a Message to ‘R***rded’ Paulo Costa After Twitter Ban

Sean Strickland is a veteran of the sport and has been fighting in the UFC since 2014. He has recently come into the spotlight with big wins over Uriah Hall and Jack Hermansson. Strickland gave his thoughts on contender Paulo Costa in a new interview.

Helen Yee interviewed Strickland as the two discussed a cluster of topics. In one segment, Yee asked Strickland what he thought about Costa “praying” for him when he got suspended from Twitter. Strickland initially laughed when Yee brought up Costa’s name.

He then said, “You know, I’m actually a big fan of Costa. He might be a borderline, might be a little ret*rded; I’ll give him that. But I actually, like, I’ve never met a man who says more offensive sh*t than me. So Paulo, I’d beat you in a fight, but as far as your f**king deluded, demented mind, I… I’m a fan of it.”

Since Costa doesn’t fight in the middleweight division anymore, it would be highly unlikely for the two to cross paths.

Strickland has been in the UFC for over seven years. Although he didn’t have a meteoric rise or get noticed by fans right as he joined, the American still won five of his first six bouts.

He then lost two of his three next fights, including a loss to current welterweight champion Kamaru Usman. This point of his career was the lowest, and Strickland was ready to prove the haters wrong.

Strickland revived his career by winning his next six fights in a row. He recently caught the attention of fans after wins against big names – Uriah Hall and Jack Hermansson. This, combined with Strickland’s honest personality, made him a fan favorite.
