‘My Mind Is Going Crazy’- Dustin Poirier Admits Missing Family in Training Camp for Conor McGregor Trilogy Fight

Dustin Poirier fights Conor McGregor for the third time in July. The score between the duo is set at 1-1 with each fighter having a finish over the other. ‘The Diamond’ finished McGregor at UFC 257 in January to avenge his 2014 loss to him. He will look to solidify himself as the better fighter when he meets ‘The Notorious’ for the third time.
Recently, the Louisiana native sat down for an interview with famous boxing trainer Teddy Atlas. At The Fight With Teddy Atlas podcast, the former interim lightweight champion explained his training camp in preparation for the upcoming fight. Poirier revealed that he is missing his family and his daughter.

“I just started training camp. So, I am here couple of weeks by myself. But next week they’re gonna be here with me. You know my mind is going crazy being away from them this long. It makes me think what the hell I was doing before I had a daughter and this kind of lifestyle. I am very very quickly being away from them I started missing them,” said ‘The Diamond‘.
“I always like to start my training camp alone away from them, kind of get tempered into the workload, and then they fly out and meet me but man for some reason this trip feels forever,” DP further added.
