NFL Legend Rob Gronkowski to Take Up Coveted Role at UFC 278 as Joe Rogan Commentary Still Uncertain

The upcoming UFC 278 will showcase a series of interesting bouts. Kamaru Usman and Leon Edwards will clash for a title fight. Luke Rockhold will make a comeback against Paulo Costa. Similarly, several other important bouts are scheduled for the event. However, it looks like Joe Rogan will miss this event.
While Rogan generally commentates on all PPV events held in the United States, retired NFL player, Rob Gronkowski, will take over analysis duties at the upcoming event. Gronkowski announced his retirement just a couple of months ago but has already found his way into new opportunities.

As reported by ‘MMA Mania‘, Joe Rogan won’t be a part of UFC 278. On the UFC San Diego broadcast, it was announced that Gronkowski and his family will provide alternate commentary for the event. It is called ‘With the Gronks’.
Gronkowski too shared the news on Twitter. Additionally, he also shared a video of himself excited to take on the new challenge. It featured famous UFC announcer, Bruce Buffer, too.

Thus, ‘With the Gronks’ is just yet another reason for fans to watch the upcoming UFC 278.

While Joe Rogan’s voice and reactions will be missed, the event has some big names on the cards that fans wouldn’t want to miss. UFC 278 will take place on August 20 at Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Joe Rogan has been working with the promotion for a long time as a commentator. However, a while back, he made the decision to limit his commentating duties to US-based PPV events only. Yet, back in 2021, he was not a part of two such events.
This year, he also failed to be a part of UFC 271, which took place in Texas. His absence was amidst the entire JRE podcast issues uproar. However, he was back to his work as an MMA analyst at UFC 272.

While the exact reason behind Rogan’s expected absence at UFC 278 is not known, fans will have to wait to hear it from the UFC officials or from the man himself. His presence at the upcoming event is subject to uncertainty.
