‘The Simpsons’ failed to make a mark this time. While the show has featured several famous personalities, the Joe Rogan parody seemed to miss the mark. Several people have criticized the way they portrayed Rogan.

In season 33 episode 44, which aired recently, spectators got to see a spoof of the famous Spotify podcaster. Many disliked his portrayal. This includes comedians Andrew Schulz and Akaash Singh. The latter called their jokes ‘bad’, ‘unfunny’ and ‘unentertaining’.

On the ‘Flagrant 2 Clips’, Singh criticized ‘The Simpsons’ for their Rogan sketch. He said, “The Rogan thing is like, ‘What are you trying to say?’ I don’t understand.” He also pointed out how ‘Homer’ was shunned from various places and then, went to Rogan.

Singh said, “And then he goes to what’s supposed to be Joe Rogan’s studio. It doesn’t say Joe Rogan. It just says right-wing podcast studio or something. … Joe Rogan opens the door, welcomes Homer in. And then Homer slams the door on Joe Rogan.”

He went on to satirically say, “Nobody wants to be a part of Joe Rogan’s podcast that 11 million people listen to every day. It’s just like not funny.”

This is because, according to him, Rogan has millions of listeners, and hence, why wouldn’t someone want to be a part of his podcast! Singh and Schulz also discussed that while the show ‘dissed’ the podcaster, their writers would write for him.

Schulz questioned, “Who wouldn’t do Rogan?”

To this, Singh said, “Every one of those Simpsons writers would do Rogan”.

Schulz agreed and added, “in a second”.

More on The Simpsons sketch of Joe Rogan

Both the comedians compared the Rogan episode to what has been happening with Jimmy Kimmel. Recently, Kimmel mocked the Nelk Boys. Schulz and Singh didn’t like this. They discussed whether some people live in a ‘Hollywood bubble’.

From his own experience, Schulz shared that there are many who aren’t in touch with what’s going on in the world. Hence, both the comedians are clear about their stance on the Joe Rogan and Nelk Boys issue.
