Calvin Kattar had a nasty injury that ended the main event of UFC Vegas 63 abruptly. The pivotal featherweight matchup between Arnold Allen and top-five contender Kattar did not go as expected, as the contest was stopped in the second round after an unfortunate injury.

Allen was disappointed after the fight, as he believed his performance was not title-shot-worthy. However, in the post-fight interview British MMA pioneer Michael Bisping pushed him to call out Alexander Volkanovski.

Despite Allen’s unhappiness with the performance, he looked phenomenal in the first round, before something tweaked in Kattar’s right foot.

Both fighters threw down some decent strikers after the initial feeling-out process. However, the injury took away what could have been a fight-of-the-year-worthy contest.

Fight fans were not happy with UFC Vegas 63 main event

MMA Fans were concerned about Calvin Kattar. While Allen looked great, the finish was not the one that would move him close to ‘The Great’. And his post-fight interview did not help at all. Instead of calling out the featherweight champion, the British fighter asked for an interim championship opportunity if possible.
