It’s hard for the UFC community to disagree when someone says Robert Whittaker is the good boy of the UFC. The majority loves the former UFC middleweight champion for his gentle and non-trash-talking nature. Recently Whittaker was talking in the UFC 284: Q&A. Along with Whittaker, other UFC fighters, including Tai Tuivasa, Kai Kara France, and Kyle Noke, joined. The show was hosted by Jon Anik, who made sure that the audience got to talk to their all-time favorite MMA stars.

However, it was quite evident that the crowd was filled with fans of Robert Whittaker. ‘The Reaper’, with a record of 24 great victories and six losses, is a favorite of many for the fighter he is.

The question that took Robert Whittaker by surprise

Whittaker, being the good boy, made sure that he treated his fans in the best possible way. Additionally, the question-and-answer session made the audience laugh and melt when a boy came from the crowd asking Whittaker a funny question. The two exchanged a lovely conversation, followed by his question.

The boy asked, “What if I come to fight UFC one day? What would you tell my dad if you have the chance in my opposition?” Everyone, including Whittaker, laughed at the boy’s not-so-serious question. 

 

Whittaker asked the boy if he wanted to join the UFC, and the response was, “I wanna come to the UFC one day.” The middleweight champion advised the little guy that the easiest way to make it into the UFC is hard work. The young, ardent fan of Whittaker said that he was coming to the UFC to fight Whittaker.

The reply given by the champion brought laughter to everyone’s faces. “For me? Look at the size of you, mate! What are you talking about?” The two laughed at this, and the boy said “love you” to his favorite fighter. Whittaker said back the same. The entire crowd, along with the fighters on stage, enjoyed the brief exchange between the UFC fighter and the aspiring UFC fighter.

Israel Adesanya tries to prove Whittaker is a bad boy

The MMA star who tried to break the good boy image of Robert Whittaker is none other than his toughest opponent, Israel Adesanya. The two squared off at UFC 243 in 2019, followed by a rematch in 2022 at UFC 271. Both times, Whittaker failed to beat Adesanya. Additionally, ‘The Last Stylebender’ showed the rivalry both inside and outside the octagon.

He uploaded an audio clip of Robert Whittaker calling hima piece of sh*t” on his social media handle. The former middleweight champion wanted to prove that his longtime rival is just faking the nature of a good boy.

Nonetheless, Whittaker still has fans all around the world for the character he displays. The fans are now eagerly waiting for an official confirmation of the bout between the ‘The Reaper’ and ‘Borz’, that is, between Whittaker and Khamzat Chimaev.
