UFC Middleweight contender, Derek Brunson chimed in on the latest Dana White controversy. The 39-year-old, like everyone else in the MMA world, was stunned by his actions. Famous UFC journalists such as Ariel Helwani, who is always at war with the UFC president, condemned his actions at the New Year’s eve party. Whereas White‘s employees, Derek Brunson and Stephen A. Smith, chose not to speak too harshly or cross a line. However, Brunson is of the firm opinion that those actions do not represent White as a person.
Derek Brunson stands with Dana White
Derek Brunson announced the appropriate punishment for Dana White’s actions on the night of New Year’s eve. The MMA professional believes his boss deserves a second chance, as White more than deserves it.

Brunson tweeted “I think speaking up against the topic and maybe sit out two events is fair! He admitted he was wrong !”. Whereas, fans of MMA, side towards the opposite end of the discussion. The UFC world demands a strict ban to be imposed on Dana White.

Some fans demanded that White get a six-month suspension among other restrictions for his mistake.

Others disagreed with Brunon’s statement that this was only a one-off action. And stated a strong point opposing it.

However, many users pointed out Brunson’s double standards for defending Dana White while he sported an ‘I beat domestic abusers’ T-shirt during UFC 271 pressers.

Furthermore, some users refuse to justify any bit of Dana White’s wrongful actions.

However, fans slammed this tweet from the MMA fighter, as it appeared to justify White’s actions.
The UFC middleweight made a contradictory statement, not too long ago
In a press conference for UFC 271, the middleweight fighter expressed a firm opinion against domestic abuse.

Derek Brunson explained his ‘I beat domestic abusers T-shirt’ and said “Yeah, oh, this is my shirt. I stand up against domestic abuse,”
and added “So, I wanna make people feel uncomfortable when they engage in those type of activities… I’m that type of guy.”
“I don’t like people who beat up women or guys who beat up women. So, I stand up against it.”

According to this statement and the shirt he wore, Brunson must strongly stand against Dana White. But, that’s not the case, as he’s proven from his tweet. Therefore, Fans of the UFC think that was another publicity stunt, which makes his double standards obvious.
