Quinton Jackson was not great in the gym
While Bisping was talking on his YouTube channel, he revealed that Jackson is one of the few fighters who are not good in the gym, but when it comes to an actual fight, he is nothing less than a monster. Bisping said, “The best example that I’ve got of somebody that wouldn’t perform too well in the gym but on the day when it came down to it to fight and he was an absolute monster. It’s Quinton Rampage Jackson. Quinton Jackson stars from Pride FC. Some of the memories that we have from those fights were just unbelievable.“
He further detailed how Rampage was a great fighter. The Count continued, “Remembering picking up uh Ricardo Arona and slamming him into next week, some beautiful knockout, some amazing fights. I think right now he’s getting a little better but in the gym, he wouldn’t perform very well because that isn’t when it mattered you know.” From the words of Bisping, it is clear that Rampage was someone who was able to bring the monster out only when he was inside the cage.”
