“This Is a F***g Silly Conversation”- Dana White Dismisses Henry Cejudo’s Comments With Nonchalance

The UFC returned with a bang with UFC Fight Night: Kattar vs Chikadze and featured 10 amazing fights. Eight bouts went the distance and fans got to witness an absolute barn-burner between ‘The Boston Finisher’ and ‘Ninja’ to close out the night. While the event provided fireworks, Dana White’s words at the customary post-fight media interaction were also interesting.
During the post-fight presser, White was quizzed about the situation of featherweight title and a former two divisional champion Henry Cejudo trying to jump the line. The UFC President completely dismissed Cejudo’s reaction to being overlooked for the shot.

White offered his own take on the situation, and why the promotion overlooked him.
“Isn’t that guy retired? He’s retired, isn’t he? Last time I saw he was retired and now he’s mad that he didn’t get a title shot in a different weight class. That doesn’t even make sense. In a different weight class? It doesn’t make sense.”
He continued, “So I should have jumped over everybody and gave it to him? Because last week he decided he is not retired? Come on man, this is a f***g silly conversation.”
Henry Cejudo may have to return in non-title bouts and earn a title shot
It looks like unretiring from the sport of mixed martial arts isn’t enough to convince the UFC president. Per White’s comments, Cejudo making a return and competing in the featherweight division seems like the only way for him to chart a course towards Alexander ‘The Great’ Volkanovski.

The former champion has called out Volkanovski ever since he decided to retire from the sport at UFC 249. However, it doesn’t seem like the promotion will ever give him the same treatment as GSP.
