Dana White has just announced the big main event for UFC 300. The moment that fans have been waiting for has finally arrived and it certainly is a main-event-worthy fight. The five-round bout will be between reigning light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira and former champ, Jamahal Hill.

Hill has previously suffered an injury in his Achilles tendon during a fun game of basketball. This put him out of competition for a while and it also forced him to vacate his belt. Now, the same belt rests on Pereira’s shoulders. With this exciting main event, White had also promised two more fights which he still wants to deliver on.

The UFC 300 intrigue around the main event has finally come to an end. But Dana White can’t let the audience go without a little bit of extra teasing. He has now promised two more fights that the UFC is still trying to make. Just after UFC 298, the boss appeared in a press conference.

There, White told reporters that he’s still working on yet another championship fight for the big pay-per-view. “Co-main event is the other championship fight on the card,” White told one reporter and then when another asked him about the other fight, he had a response ready.

“We got one more to make” he told the press making it certain that two more exciting matches are about to grace the already stacked card. What are your predictions about these fights? Many fans believe it could be the return of Israel Adesanya who could challenge Dricus Du Plessis for the middleweight title.

When Du Plessis snatched the middleweight title out of Sean Strickland’s hands, he was on the top of the world. During the post-fight interview, ‘Stillknocks’ was rather eager to call-out his former rival. He wanted to bring ‘Izzy’ out of his break so they could close the loop they started when Adesanya was still the champ.

The chances are a bit skewed thanks to Du Plessis’ sudden turnaround. The South African fighter was still confident about fighting Adesanya at the post-fight press conference of UFC 297. The fighter was rather bruised from the brawl but still raring to go.

Months later, during the build-up of UFC 300, Du Plessis turned around on his statement. Now, instead of going for UFC 300, ‘Stillknocks’ wants the promotion to focus on UFC South Africa instead. Moreover, fighting so soon within the same year is actually not a great idea.

However, for Adesanya, the timeline is still possible and energetic. Given that ‘The Stylebender’ is rumored to have started training, perhaps something big could be on the way. Does Dana White have a middleweight bout planned for ‘Izzy’ after all? Let us know your predictions.
