Khabib Nurmagomedov ended his career with a perfect record of 29-0 and made it clear he had no plans of returning to the Octagon. Nurmagomedov retired from the sport after losing his father to COVID-19 and made a promise to his mother not to compete ever again. Even an event like UFC 300 could not lure him to return to fighting. His manager also cleared the same in his recent conversation with TMZ Sports.

The host asked whether there were any efforts to make ‘The Eagle’ return at UFC 300. Abdelaziz responded to the claim and said, “This is completely false. Even if they ask me to call Khabib, I’m not even gonna call Khabib. You know the guy’s done. His legacy moves on to other people like Islam, like Usman, like Omar.”
He continued, “You know he created an opportunity himself with myself. You know he brought up the whole team and now he’s just creating opportunity for other people. That’s what he doing right now. Listen, Dana, try this for years, but then I understand now, like you know. I think Khabib retired early too. I agree with him. But this is you know father’s situation. The trauma he went through, the promises he made.”
The Dagestani fighter is one of the biggest names in the UFC. He not only won fights but also maintained an unbeaten run during his fighting days. In one of his recent interviews, former champion Georges St-Pierre claimed that he could beat him and ‘The Eagle’ responded to the claims in one of his recent posts on X.

‘The Eagle’ gives his verdict on GSP’s claims of taking him down
Georges St-Pierre recently made an appearance on the Pound4Pound podcast. During the conversation, he shared his opinion on the Dagestani fighter. The pair never could fight each other, but GSP seemed very confident of beating the former lightweight king. The 42-year-old shared how he would try to take him down, as he had taken down most of his opponents.
‘The Eagle’ responded to the claims in his own way. He took to his X account and shared a post that read, “I learn from this guy a lot. Even hear him talk about me is so interesting ))) GSP all day,”
