Rogan has a distinctive approach to the way he hosts his guests. With no topic off-limits, a recent sit-down with Eshan Ahmad led to a discussion about Rogan’s famous bald head. And his receding hairline was a concern that only a few knew he struggled with!

Joe Rogan and Eshan Ahmad talk about his baldness

Joe Rogan recently hosted the prominent stand-up comedian, writer, and host, Eshan Ahmad in ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ #2050. While in conversation about his days at the Fear Factor they delved into watching the initial episodes of the show.

Rogan was hit by a sudden whiff of nostalgia as he recalled his days at the daring reality show. “I still had the wallet chain back then. I still had hair,” stated Rogan. The conversation quickly turned around towards Rogan’s hair as Ahmad inquired ” Yeah, I was going to say the hair. Look at the hairline going. When did you shave it ?”

Rogan asserted that he gave up on his receding hairline and took the path of baldness more than a decade back. He said, “I shaved. I gave up. I think 2011 is just f***ing done. Yeah, my hair looks terrible.” And seemingly Ahmad agreed with Rogan’s decision to go bald.

Ahmad in his support said, “There’s always like for me it was always like I saw a picture of me on the stage and I was like oh my god. This is how I present myself to the world. This is crazy”. 

Rogan in the end said that it’s better to go bald than having a bad hairline. He added, ” Yeah, you’re so much better off giving in and I’m lucky I have a good head. It’s a good shape for a head for being bald.”

Although Rogan claims that he is better off without hair, nonetheless, most people might not know that he has undergone three hair transplant programs.

Rogan’s failed hair transplant

In the yesteryears, Joe Rogan had not completely given up on his hairline, especially during his formative twenties. In an endeavor to counteract this loss of hair, Rogan embarked upon a series of hair transplantation procedures. Regrettably, none of these interventions appeared to bestow the desired outcome.

The first two transplants were done in the late 1990s and early 2000s, but they did not produce satisfactory results. The third and final transplant was done in 2007 and was Rogan’s last attempt to regain his lost hair. But like the previous two, this transplant also failed. With no other strategies to save his locks, Rogan finally decided to go bald and it might have been one of his best decisions in terms of his signature look.
