UFC Fight Night: Makhachev vs Moises will see a clash in the women’s strawweight division between Amanda Lemos and Montserrat Ruiz go down in the preliminary card. Both fighters will enter the contest on the back of a win. They will look to further elevate their position in the division with yet another triumph this weekend.
‘Amandinha’ will enter the UFC Octagon for the fifth time in her career against Ruiz. The Brazilian has won 3 of her outings so far. A T/KO loss to Leslie Smith is the only loss of Lemos’s professional career. She earned a T/KO finish over Livinha Souza in her last fight at UFC 259.

Lemos (34) has a professional record of 9-1. 8 of her 9 wins have come via finishes. 6 T/KO and 2 submission wins rack up those numbers for her.
The Mexican, ‘Conejo’, is the younger fighter. The 28-year-old Kings MMA trainee has a professional record of 10-1. 3 T/Ko and 2 submission wins make up her finishing tally of 5.
Amanda Lemos vs Montserrat Ruiz: Analysis
Lemos has a good stand-up game. Also, her power is something unexceptional in the strawweight division. ‘Amandinha’ possesses legit knockout power in her strikes. Her last win against Souza is a testament to the same.
Ruiz is a powerful fighter as well. Her clinch game and authority in the grappling department are very prominent. Also, based on her record, ‘Conejo‘ is not an easy outing for anybody in the 115 lbs division.

It all comes down to how Lemos can defend against Ruiz’s grappling. Also, if the Brazilian’s power is enough to put her Mexican opponent away, remains to be seen. But it’s hard to dismiss Ruiz’s toughness and expect Lemos to finish her.

Lemos might just be too crafty an opponent for Ruiz who is still early in her UFC career. ‘Amandinha‘ might just get a unanimous decision in her favor in a competitive contest at the UFC APEX.
Final Prediction: Amanda ‘Amandinha’ Lemos by unanimous decision.
