In a recent announcement, White introduced his latest promotional venture, which is quite different from the previous ones.

Dana White’s Power Slap League gets the green light

Dana White is looking to extend his promotional reach with the launch of the ‘Power Slap League.’ According to the latest report, the Nevada Athletic Commission has given their go-ahead for the event. The report states that White is planning to hold the first event in late 2022.

Dana White said he was looking to put together “the biggest slap competition of all time.” He announced the news on his Instagram page. White invited professional slappers and other interested parties to reach out to the casting team.

White has partnered up with former UFC owner Lorenzo Fertitta to start his slap-fighting promotion. UFC top brass like COO Lawrence Epstein and the producer of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’, Craig Piligian are also listed in association with the latest promotion.

The events are expected to be held in the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. White could stream the Power Slap League via UFC Fight Pass or ESPN, two channels of broadcast already available to the UFC.

Slap fighting first caught Dana White’s attention all the way back in 2019. The viral video of champion Vasiliy ‘Dumpling’ Khamotskiy being momentarily knocked out after a vicious slap from his opponent impressed White.
