The point of controversy is the after-effects seen by the fighters in the competition.

However, the UFC President has had enough of his critics. In a recent interview, he slammed the media for their narratives regarding the sports he owns.

He thrashed the media over “selective outrage” on UFC and Power Slap League over boxing. While laying down health and safety standards laid down by the UFC and Power Slap League, White compared the serious injuries in boxing to that of his leagues.

The President stated that UFC had zero deaths from 2001 to 2023 whereas boxing had 34 deaths. Furthermore, he concluded by stating, “your’re selective outrage is on the wrong sport.”

Dana White reveals the medical standards set in the UFC and Power Slap League

White stated the difference between the controversial league to that of the UFC. He said that the athletes in Power Slap League go through the same medical testing as those in the UFC. He added that the same money is spent on both competitions. Furthermore, White asked the critics to take a look into what the Nevada State Athletic Commission does and “applaud” them.

He also narrated an incident that happened with one of his athletes in the Power Slap League. The business mogul added, “This athlete who came in yesterday had a brain aneurism would have never been known had we not spent the money and did the medical testing. These guys are first of all they’re much safer fighting here. Obviously getting much more exposure. It’s going to change their lives. They’re going to make money for their families. This is exactly like the UFC when we started it.”
