Dana White had previously told TMZ Sports that he was hoping to see McGregor return to the Octagon at the end of 2022 or at the beginning of 2023.

A journalist asked White how the UFC manages to put up a big show without big names like Conor McGregor on the card. The 53-year-old provided a very suitable reply to the journalist. White said, “That’s what we always do. I mean, that’s what we’ve always done.” He then took a subtle jab at McGregor, saying, “if you really look at it, in the last five or six years, Conor’s probably fought four or five times. You know what I mean, right? Is that about right?”

White proceeded to add that it’s always nice to have superstars and big fights in an event. However, he believes that UFC was able to sell out for the 29th consecutive time because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Conor McGregor is on the road to recovery.
