Aljamain Sterling is well-known for his UFC career. With the longest win streak in UFC history, the fighter has become one of the fan favorites. However, Sterling was also seen on the big screen. 

Jorge ‘Gamebred’ Masvidal recently shared a post on his Facebook page that showed four of the greatest actors. Surprisingly, Aljamain Sterling found his way into the pictures.

Recently, Jorge Masvidal posted photos of Denzel Washington, Leonardo DiCaprio, Aljamain ‘Funk Master’ Sterling, and Mia Khalifa on his Facebook. The pictures captioned, “THE TOP 4 GREATEST ACTORS EVER!” Masvidal reposted it saying, “This is Gold!” ‘Gamebred’ probably had Sterling’s fight with Petr Yan on his mind.

Although Denzel Washington and Leonardo DiCaprio are established actors in Hollywood, Sterling is relatively new. The UFC bantamweight fighter has starred in a couple of action-packed movies. He’s famous for ‘The Last Operative’ and ‘Layers’. His next movie, ‘Grace Point’ is expected to premiere in 2023. However, the comparison with Mia Khalifa must have humiliated the fighter.

Aljamain Sterling called out to 50 Cent

‘Funk Master’ won his second bout against Yan with his superior grappling skills. However, many believed that he was acting during the post-fight talks and called him the greatest actor in the UFC. Although the fighter defended his bantamweight title, his interest to act was displayed in the post-fight interview. The fighter seemed interested in starring in the TV series, ‘Power’.

Sterling called out not only TJ Dillashaw but also 50 Cent. He said, “50 Cent get me strapped, put me in the power universe. I am a time actor. So everybody here knows that already.”

‘Funk Master’ and his acting

Earlier in 2021, Sterling talked about his acting debut alongside Coach Din Thomas. He said, “I’m excited. This was my first movie, getting some actual speaking lines, and I think it’s just something to set myself up for after MMA when I do decide to hang ‘em up. And just to have that option and that flexibility… It’s entertainment, just like this is entertainment, what we do now. I enjoy it.”

Furthermore, the fighter added, “Eventually, I would like to get in those more challenging roles where more with the facial expressions and the body mannerisms and that type of thing. I think that’s gonna make it a little bit more of an art form.”

Nonetheless, be it acting in the big Hollywood projects, or defending titles in the UFC, Sterling has acquired a massive support from fans. With ‘Grace Point’ coming out next year, fans’ excitement is on an all-time high.
