Jose Aldo is one of the most noted fighters in the entire UFC roster. But little do we know about the hardships of his childhood and the scars that he has received from a tender age. The Brazilian fought an uphill battle in going from rags to riches and then a “Legend” in this sport of MMA.
Former fighter and UFC’s official TV presenter, RJ Clifford, seemed to be in awe of the child-like innocence of Jose Aldo. Clifford tweeted a decade-old video of Jose Aldo Jr. when he first time went suit shopping.

His Tweet read “Jose Aldo, the destroyer of men, giggling like a child trying on his first suit over a decade ago“. The video showcased Aldo in a mart, shopping for suits and hats, and snickering as innocent as a little one.

RJ Clifford further said in his tweet, “A poor kid from the favela laughing endearingly at the absurdity that is suit shopping.” He ended the tweet by labeling Aldo as a “Legend”.

On his journey to become arguably the greatest featherweight ever in the UFC, he gained the finances, which allowed him to enjoy the riches. Still, Aldo never forgot his childhood life and giggled after seeing himself in apparel he had only seen or heard of.
The journey of a poor kid in a favela to the Featherweight Champion of UFC
Jose Aldo, nicknamed “Junior” fought his first ever MMA fight in 2004. Aldo relocated from Manaus to Rio de Janeiro just at 17, taking just his clothing with him and vowing to practice mixed martial arts.
Aldo made it big in the sport after the WEC merged with the UFC. He went on to become a two-time UFC featherweight champion. Jose Aldo also has also defended his Featherweight title a record 7 times. Many consider him to be the greatest champion ever.

Some fans of Aldo even blamed the UFC in their tweet about how they misused Jose Aldo’s silence to build up the UFC 194 Main Event in favor of Conor McGregor.
