WATCH: When A Teary-eyed Joe Rogan Received His 10th Planet Black Belt From Grappling Legend Eddie Bravo

Joe Rogan has been with the UFC from the very start and has almost become the voice of the promotion. Fans love his presence during fights and his reactions are hilarious. However, the UFC commentator is a fighter himself.
It is no secret that Rogan is a trained Jiu-Jitsu fighter. There are several videos all over the internet of him showcasing his skills.

In a video posted by Eddie Bravo on YouTube, the famous Spotify podcaster was seen getting his 10th Planet Black Belt. This was in 2012. In the video, Bravo was seen giving Rogan the black belt, while he was taken aback. Upon receiving the belt, Rogan gave his instructor Bravo a warm hug.
The UFC commentator was also teary-eyed upon receiving the appreciation. In addition to this, he was congratulated by the other students. Bravo went on to speak about Rogan’s dedication to the art of fighting.
Rogan then said, “… one of the proudest moments of my life and out of all sh*t I have ever done, this is, you know, becoming really good at Jiu-Jitsu is probably one of the most difficult thing a person could probably do. And I think, it helps me whatever I do.”
“I think the more I train and the more I meet people who are in Jiu-Jitsu and anything, I talk about the shi*t all the time. People who are in Jiu-Jitsu and train on a regular basis, they’re healthier people. Their egos are healthier; especially men.”

Thus, it looks like earning the 10th Planet Black Belt was an extremely proud moment for Rogan.
Joe Rogan: Other combat achievements
As per the Boston native’s website, his passion for martial arts had sparked at the young age of thirteen. He then went on to earn a black belt within two years and also was the Massachusetts full contact Tae Kwon Do champion for four consecutive years.

By age nineteen, Rogan became the lightweight champion at the US Open Tae Kwon Do Championship. He further went on to defeat the middleweight and heavyweight title-holders. As a result, he obtained the Grand Championship.
