“We’re Working on That Fight”: Dana White Hints Jorge Masvidal vs Colby Covington to Be Booked Soon

Jorge Masvidal vs Colby Covington is the fight that is on the top of every UFC fan’s wishlist for 2021. The two former training partners cum best friends have unresolved differences. And it looks like standing across the Octagon against one another is the best way to resolve the issue for them.
In an interview with The Schmo, UFC President Dana White also confirmed that the UFC is working on getting that fight booked officially.
“I don’t think Masvidal said I don’t like that fight stylistically, We’re working on that fight. It’s the fight we want too, and hopefully, we’ll get that done this year, too. We got nothing but big fights all this year so hopefully, we can get a couple of these key ones buttoned up and done and start looking forward to them,” said Dana White.

Covington defeated Tyron Woodley in his last outing. With both fighters looking to get yet another shot at the title, there will be plenty in stakes, should they actually fight.

Also, stylistically it will be intriguing to see how Masvidal handles Covington’s wrestling and constant pressure. ‘Chaos’ on the other hand will have to avoid Masvidal’s vicious striking prowess too. Both men are aware of their opponents’ strengths and weaknesses due to years of training together.
