MMA fighters have a short career span, ranging mostly from 12 to 15 years, depending on the individual. Thus, the question of post-retirement topics is hugely talked about in the fight circle. In an interesting clip from ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’, posted 3 years ago, UFC fighter Jorge Masvidal, who is currently embroiled in a legal case because of his alleged assault on Colby Covington, talked about his retirement plans and his love for a particular sport.

Jorge Masvidal tells nothing can replace fighting and shares his love for skiing

When Joe Rogan popped the question of post-retirement plans, Masvidal had to take a hard long pause before saying he didn’t know about it. Although he then goes ahead and talks about securing his children’s future before expressing his love for fighting.

The main thing is to make sure that before I’m retired my kids are set for life. With their universities, with their houses all that stuff that’s number one go.” He further stated “.. when I retire, I got a lot of options. I gotta see which one I’m gonna like the most. Cause whatever I’m gonna do, obviously nothing I’d love as much as fighting”

Masvidal has been in the fight game for a long time having made his MMA debut back in 2003. Unsurprisingly, fighting has been a core part of his life and the Miami-born fighter emphasized that as well.

Nothing don’t make me wake up at 6:00 in the morning to go f****** run. When you ask about that longevity it’s just cause I love it so much. I don’t have to work for it. I just, I love it, I love what I do.”

‘Gamebred’ eventually opened up about his unique passion, which made Rogan exclaim in surprise. While expressing his love for skiing he states, “I gotta just find something that my heart is solely in and I’m having fun. I still haven’t figured out what that is. You know maybe skiing… That shit gets my blood pumping.”
