This talk ignited a fire in the heart of the fighter, Bryce Mitchell. The ‘Thug Nasty’ went ahead and responded on Instagram, claiming that the earth is in fact larger than the sun and not the other way around.
Joe Rogan and Lawrence Krauss talk about shape of the earth
In the JRE episode #938, Lawrence Krauss appeared as the guest and had an immersive talk with the UFC commentator, Joe Rogan. They discussed the powers of science and the opposition scientists faced. In the due course, they had a talk regarding the shape of the earth. Krauss said, “Greeks had determined the circumference of the earth. Not only that it was round, but what its circumference was by simple measurements that were then not accepted because of dogma. So if we have to progress, we have to beware of dogma.” Adding to the statement, “It’s plane geometry that in principle, any high school student could do.”

Later on, Krauss justified the Greeks by saying that the dogma did not force them to believe that the earth is flat. He gave a little light to the fire, saying, “I’ve told today, you were dealing with some people who were still forced with that dogma.”
Joe Rogan then talked about the Japanese satellite that took high-resolution photographs of the earth, every 10 minutes. Anyone can access these photos on the internet. Rogan found it hilarious that some people believed it to be false. “People see those and they wanna think they’re fake but yet they believe there’s an ice wall around Antarctica that you cross over and you fall to the abyss.” He chided, asking for the photographs of those ‘ice walls’.
Bryce Mitchell responded to Joe Rogan
Bryce Mitchell, who goes by the name ‘Thug Nasty’ on Instagram, claimed that he believed in the earth being flat. He took offense at Rogan’s talk about the earth’s shape. He said, “I’m gonna prove you wrong on Instagram with simple geometry.”

He disagreed with NASA’s reports that the sun is in fact larger than the earth. He held a basketball and a tennis ball and claimed that the opposite is actually true. “The sun is smaller than the earth, much smaller. And rotates around us, not the other way around”, he said.

He asked the audience to look at the pictures to understand his point. He further called out Rogan and said, “If you want to get smoked, just have me at your podcast, buddy.” The fighter posted a few drawings, trying to show his point.

- Keep it up, brotha! Whether the earth is flat or not you’re out here speaking your mind. That’s what’s up!
- Glad to see another man exercising his right to freedom of speech!
- Why dont you got to your local community college/university and debate a physics or astronomy professor on video? You’re just looking for affirmation asking to debate Joe Rogan.
- Very scientific…stick to rasslin brother. God bless
- We respect you for your heart and skills, but this is how holding onto ancient (mostly religious) ideas can be detrimental
- Bryce, love ya buddy. But cmon brother. Leave the science to the scientist. Read a couple of 4th grade science books for some knowledge.
- Why try to convince anyone of anything? Most people have their opinion and are not gonna change it anyway. Live & let live.
- Dude…. you need to speak to some legitimate scientists that you trust so they can stop this train wreck before it goes completely off the rails. The earth is not flat lol.
- You are truly one of my favorite fighters….but the earth ain’t flat bro
- Ill take nasa’s word over a toddlers drawing thanks
