Following his victory over Serghei Spivac at UFC Paris, Ciryl Gane was interviewed by Michael Bisping. Bisping inquired about Gane’s intentions regarding a potential matchup with Tom Aspinall, given Aspinall’s long-standing desire to face him.
Gane said “I know a lot of people talk about Aspinall but that doesn’t make sense for me. With my management, they did a really great job all my career, that’s why it was so fast. Now, I just want to go to the belt, I’m the number one contender, he’s number four, it doesn’t make sense.” Seemingly, ‘Bon Gamin’ completely disregarded any plans of facing Aspinall in the future. Nonetheless, with the interim belt in line, Gane might change his mind.
