UFC star Jorge Masvidal is a man of many talents. The UFC’s one and only BMF title holder has been a professional fighter for almost two decades. During that tenure, Masvidal has been a part of a reality show and even made an appearance on the pro wrestling scene. Therefore, the 305 representative was more than happy to give a shout-out to a fellow Miami native’s pro wrestling debut.

In 2021, Masvidal made an appearance on AEW alongside some of his ATT teammates. His teammate and former UFC heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos also made his pro wrestling debut on AEW. These MMA stars followed in the footsteps of icons like Ronda Rousey and Brock Lesnar. Now another MMA star has followed suit and earned Masvidal’s praises on the way.

“Master” announced her full-time move to pro wrestling in June last year. In a scintillating debut against Lola Vice, Loureda displayed a variety of moves against a debuting Dani Palmer. However, it was Palmer who got her hand raised at the end of the contest.

MMA stars transitioning to pro wrestling is not an altogether uncommon trend. AEW head Tony Khan left the door open for the possibility of Masvidal joining the promotion after the UFC star’s second appearance on the show.

Back in October 2021, Jorge Masvidal opened up about his intentions behind the AEW appearances. “Street Jesus” has always loved violence. It turned out AEW attracted him for the same reason. Speaking to Ariel Helwani, the 38-year-old said,

“There’s a lot of savages over there on that side, on that AEW side, lots of savages right, we can agree, I am sure you have seen them. Savages, yeah right, I am here to domesticate them.”

Masvidal is currently set to face Gilbert Burns at UFC 287. He will look to bounce back from a string of losses with a win over ‘Durinho.’
