Revealed: WWE Stars Annual Salary Makes UFC Fighters Purse Look Like Change Money

The question of whether or not UFC fighters receive fair pay has been hotly contested. According to popular belief, the UFC competitors are paid inadequately in comparison to those in other combat sports. Moreover, in a recent interview, Triple H, a former WWE Superstar who is now the organization’s Chief Content Officer, revealed the minimum pay for a WWE main roaster star. And even without any further incentives, the sum is still so outrageously enormous that it makes the minimum pay for UFC fighters appear paltry.
There are exceptions in the UFC like Conor McGregor, who topped Forbes’ list of the World’s Highest Paid Athletes in 2021. But he didn’t reach that stage entirely on the basis of his UFC salary. His UFC remuneration has contributed only a fraction of the mammoth sum he has made.

WWE fighters pay vs UFC fighters pay
In a recent interview with the sports website The Athletic, Triple H discussed a range of topics, including the WWE fighters’ salary. According to “The Game”, the main roster of WWE stars are paid a minimum of $250,000 as their annual salary. This excludes PPV incentives and any merchandise bonuses whatsoever. That is purely the salary part of the fighters.
In comparison, the difference between the minimum salaries of UFC fighters and those of WWE is outrageously wide. According to the news website AS, the UFC fighter’s minimum pay is anywhere between $10,000-$30,000 per fight.

During a special segment with GQ, Dana White touched on the sensitive subject of UFC fighters’ pay. The UFC President claimed that the fighters are fairly paid and that people simply need anything to complain about. “If you look at what we’ve done with the business in the last 22 years, it’s incredible. Never been done, ever. The things that we’ve done in the fight business. You always have to have something to b**ch about, I guess.” said White.
He further continued to stand by his statement and even provided a solution if anyone disagrees. White said, “Believe me, these guys get paid what they’re supposed to get paid. They eat what they kill. If you don’t like it, there’s a simple solution to this problem. Go start your own MMA organization.”
