Every UFC follower is aware of the fury Ronda Rousey would bring to her battles. And she repeatedly proved her fighting prowess in the octagon. In her 7 year long MMA career, she sustained her undefeated title for the longest until she faced two consequent losses, which also happened to be her only defeats in her MMA career. But ‘Rowdy’ was a skilled wrestler of the highest calibre, and not many could withstand her trademark armbar. So it should come as no surprise that Ronda Rousey was a formidable opponent when she competed in the UFC. Which is exemplified brilliantly in an old training video of hers that has reappeared online, in which she is seen striking a man on the ground quite forcefully while practising.

A ‘Rowdy’ takedown

This video perfectly depicts why Ronda Rousey was such a fearsome fighter. As it appears, her training partner is making every effort to subdue ‘Rowdy’ but his efforts are in vain since she swiftly establishes authority and downplays him with high force.

Her remarkable fighting prowess is the reason that kept her undefeated in the UFC for so long. Until she got defeated by Holly Holm and lost the subsequent fight against Amanda Nunes. Following two back-to-back losses, she transitioned to WWE in 2018, bidding adieu to MMA forever.

However, Ronda Rousey said in an interview that there is only one person who can persuade her to return to MMA.

Ronda Rousey would come back for ‘only one person’

During an interview with WWE veteran Kurt Angle, she was questioned about her comeback in the octagon. Rousey initially responded with a flat ‘no’, but after giving it some thought, she decided that she might do it—but only for Gina Carano.

Rousey stated, “There’s only one person. There’s only one person I would come back for… I mean, I’ve said it a million times. It’s not like its something new. But for Gina, man. Gina Carano.” The 35-year-old further added, “She’s the reason why I got into fighting and she’s the reason why I knew it was a possibility. I will always be forever grateful.”
