Daniel Cormier reveals details of training camp

Honestly, I had to go back and watch a lot of boxing in preparation for this one, because of those guys who throw that lead left body hook. You don’t’ see it very much in mixed martial arts. So I had to go to boxing and watch guys who throw it and how they counter it. I’ve seen on a number of occasions there are a lot of shots that you can time correctly can cause a lot of damage to the opponent,” said Cormier

DC will certainly feel unlucky after his last fight, given that he was dominating during the initial rounds. However, as revealed by Javier Mendez, Cormier didn’t follow the game plan during the fight and was recovering from a back surgery.

“I know for a fact that he’s going to the body as that’s where he found his success. Anything else I’ll be able to slip off the counter. I have watched a ton of boxing in the build-up to the fight and in preparation. Because there are some shots than can throw him off and discourage him,” said Cormier

Daniel Cormier is set to retire after this fight and has mentioned it time and again that he wants to retire as the king of the division. However, DC won’t have any excuses to rely on as he’s coming into the fight fully fit and is in peak shape.

Stipe Miocic could cement his legacy as the greatest heavyweight of all time if he wins against Daniel Cormier. Also, the UFC veteran is experienced in title defenses. Miocic has defended his title 3 times in the past, with Cormier his fourth title defense.
