Fight fans have come to expect the former UFC heavyweight to constantly outdo himself whilst still remaining true to himself.

“The Super Samoan” has one of the most deceptive records in MMA and casual fans often overlook his career. Hunt is 13-14 as a professional, last having fought back in December 2018 against Justin Willis. Chiefly, Mark’s losing record stems from the series of losses he suffered at the hands of top tier competition exclusively.

He has fought the who’s who in Heavyweight history including Fedor Emelianenko, Alistair Overeem, Junior Dos Santos, and Stipe Miocic. Moreover, he also scalped impressive names on his resume that led him to an interim title shot against Fabricio Werdum. Not to mention, his time outside the UFC, at Pride FC, K-1, and DREAM made him a globally revered star.

Chiefly, the latter part of his UFC tenure was marred by a major lawsuit that saw him lock horns with Dana White and the UFC. The contention between the two stemmed from his marquee match-up against Brock Lesnar at UFC 200.

Lesnar would pick up a decision win over Hunt in a fight that had drawn in a massive amount of viewership. However, Brock tested positive for a host of banned substances and the fight no longer sits within the records.
