Very talented and multifaceted skiing legend, Lindsey Vonn, gets candid and reveals something that is difficult for us to believe.

Besides having having an illustrious career in alpine skiing, Lindsey Vonn is a go-getter and a versatile personality who wears many hats as an author, a businesswoman, and a philanthropist. Despite suffering many injuries when competing for her first Olympic gold medal at the Olympics in 2002, she continued to win, proving that she was unstoppable. The Super-G competition’s bronze medal came next.

Vonn is renowned for being candid with her ideas and emotions; whether she is expressing her innermost delight or fears, it doesn’t matter to her.

In an interview in 2015, the skiing legend said, “Long term is world championship and Olympics and after that I really don’t know what’s going to happen. I don’t know if I’ll retire or keep going.” Thereafter, she went on to win her fourth Olympic medal and many other championships.

Furthermore, she made a shocking revelation. She stated, “I’m probably the least confident person on the slopes that you’ll find, especially this time of year.” The tension and anxiety that playing a sport causes have once victimised the wind-speed alpine skier.

Every sportsperson finds it extremely difficult to survive for a number of reasons: time, past records, and future prospects. But let’s face it: that’s where legends are born, and Vonn is unquestionably one of the most illustrious athletes the world has ever seen.

Vonn is inspiring in a great way

One cannot help but accept that she is a living embodiment of the phrase “unstoppable,” when they observe the progress she is making. Vonn retired in February 2019.

She has been doing a range of activities. Whether it be maintaining a chiselled body, her efforts to motivate others with stories from her life through her debut book, ‘Rise’, supporting youngsters with scholarships and education programmes, or supporting animal welfare, she is making heads turn.

In a recent interview, she went on to discuss her battles with insomnia, a sleeping disorder. Also, how she dealt with the anguish as a result of her injuries while unable to sleep.  It is also learnt that after several treatments, she has found something that works for her. It also says a lot about how determined she is to overcome any obstacles she faces. Her honest revelations are extremely insightful and enlightening.
