In fact, it has come to a point that the NFL ring and the Olympic gold medal have been placed on the line. In recent developments, former Olympian Anson Henry also spoke about the battle between the two stars. When asked about Bolt’s chances of winning the race, Anson had his doubts.

Usain Bolt not in contention?

The NFL superstar, Tyreek Hill, is one of the fastest wide receivers in the game. When Bolt wanted to play in the NFL earlier, he was not in favor of taking hits from other players. Hence, Hil challenged him to a dash to see who is the faster amongst the two. Currently, Bolt is retired and is pursuing his other interests. But due to the same, former Olympian, Anson Henry spoke about Bolt’s current physical shape and how much he would need to train to get back to his full fitness.

“He hasn’t trimmed down, but I mean if he is in decent shape, there’s no way Tyreek could beat him. But, this is a situation where no matter what happens, Bolt cannot lose that race. I have seen him. He doesn’t look like he is in the best shape. To be safe, he is gonna need at least three months to prepare,” said Henry.

Bolt is no doubt a legend, but he is also 35 right now and Hill is in his prime at 28. Henry spoke about Bolt not wanting to lose the race, but also wanted American athlete, Trayvon Brommel, to settle the issue instead.

Is Brommel the right replacement?

The 2015 World Championships bronze medalist holds the sixth-fastest time in 100-meters history. He posted a time of 9.76 and is one of the best sprinters in the world. Hence, Anson Henry thinks Brommel should challenge Hill.

“I feel a lot more secure with Trayvon dealing with this. If am being honest, I’d rather have Trayvon deal with this situation. And there are numerous sprinters that can deal with this situation,” said Henry.

The story seems to head into its anti-climax now. With Brommel being 26, it seems like the race is suited for both competitors. However, if history has taught us anything, it is to never count out Usain Bolt.
