Maria Shriver recently tweeted, “This stopped me. How moving @POTUS. Grief lasts years and make no mistake, a parent’s grief is never done”. Shriver, the mother of four children, knows the joy and warmth that children bring to the lives of their parents. And losing them at any point in life could leave a scar that can never be healed.

Shriver shared the Associated Press tweet alongside, which read, “President Joe Biden was moved to tears during a stop at a Catholic shrine when he discovered that a chaplain working there had performed last rites on his late son Beau Biden”. President Biden visited the Knock Shrine this Friday. It is a pilgrimage site where, according to Catholic lore, saints Mary, Joseph, and John the Baptist appeared near a stone wall in 1879.
